The Huon Yacht Club fleet comprises a wide diversity of yachts, ranging from a Radford 42 to a Triton 24. We conduct our races using a Performance Based Handicap system.  sailing1The Huon Yacht Club’s Opening Day is held on the first Sunday in October. The fleet sails line astern to salute the Patron on his vessel. Then follows a short Harbour Race, before crews join all members in the clubhouse for the Official Opening of the season and refreshments.

The Club conducts two Harbour Series of five races each, one over Spring and Summer and one Autumn Series. There is a Long Distance Pennant Series of five races, with the yachts divided into two divisions. Faster yachts complete a longer course than the smaller boats.
