Opening Day Info

Lunch

We need a second BBQ and gas bottle! Can anyone help with that? Any talented BBQ Guru’s out there to help cook would also be a bonus.

If you are attending as a non-sailor on the day please consider giving a hand with the preparation, lunch set up and if we all get in and help clean up after we can all get to enjoy the day.

Helpers are always appreciated.

A few non-meat main dishes are needed to add to the lunch table. So, if you have a special recipe please share it with us, and, of course, there can never be to much dessert. So please consider bringing a bit extra.

Sail Past

Some of the boats may want to tie up on the jetty before and after the Sail past. If you can make yourself available as a WATERSIDE WORKER (non-union of course) for the day, it would assist the skippers, their crew and any passengers coming ashore.

The Sail Past will start in front of the slipway from around 12:30 once the boats have assembled. All boats are asked to gather after the sail past in front of the clubhouse as close to the jetty as possible. Hopefully we can get some good fleet photos .

PHOTOGRAPHIC EXCELLENCE AWARD

There will be am award  for the best photos taken on the day. Two categories will be judged: On the water action General Boating / Clubhouse. Extra points will be awarded if your photo includes the clubhouse in both categories, as it will never look the same again once the extensions are done. Winners will have their photo framed, hung in the clubhouse and published on our website. I am sure some boat owners may even like to do a deal or purchase a copy. If you would like to be out on the water for the sail past and take some photographs, please let me know so we can arrange a berth on a member’s boat for you.

The “Nancy” will be down from Franklin. We may be able to get you on board.

Jen-Z all glammed up

Jen-Z has new anti-foul paint and some advertisements to show our appreciation for the sponsors. The boat is ready for the opening day and the season ahead.
